only epic could pull this stunt. it’s bad enough they let their customers down and they don’t support them, but to then pull the rug out from under them and do this is disgraceful! the game has been on the bluebyte store since it was released in october and i bought the game there – i know it’s not a one-click process on the bluebyte store but it’s still an option for those who want to support the developers. and it’s free! but epic has no more right to deny me access to the game than ubisoft does when they pull it from the store.

which brings me to the present, the game is a prequel to the anno series, which was just released on steam. we are still riding on the shoulders of giants and the developers have done an awesome job with the present title. there is so much to enjoy about this game and the addition of co-op and pvp will be the icing on the cake. sure the game looks like the standard version of the series, but i dare you to put down the controller and try and play this game without being amazed by the graphics and animations. the co-op is amazing and all the characters are so well defined and the interplay between them is so natural. the diversity of the maps and scenarios is breath taking and seeing a story being told through the eyes of so many different characters is an amazing experience.

i have not bought any of the previous games in this series and may wait until the game is cheaper before i consider it, but i have played the demo, so will be willing to give this game a try on release day. i like the fact that the developers are taking more of a rpg approach to the franchise and i am interested to see how this game will progress as the future map is added to it. i do like the skill based system of progression, if you complete enough of the quests, you can gain the skills to improve your characters level. i can see this being a bit of a grind, but i like it. the pvp is extremely addictive and the progression system seems well thought out. i like the fact that you can customise your pvp team with characters from the main game, allowing you to change the team dynamics.
