Equipped with the right applications, a computer can be of great help in virtually any domain of activity. When it comes to designing and precision, no other tool is as accurate as a computer. Moreover, specialized applications such as AutoCAD give you the possibility to design nearly anything ranging from art, to complex mechanical parts or even buildings.
Suitable for business environments and experienced users
After a decent amount of time spent installing the application on your system, you are ready to fire it up. Thanks to the office suite like interface, all of its features are cleverly organized in categories. At a first look, it looks easy enough to use, but the abundance of features it comes equipped with leaves room for second thoughts.
Create 2D and 3D objects
You can make use of basic geometrical shapes to define your objects, as well as draw custom ones. Needless to say that you can take advantage of a multitude of tools that aim to enhance precision. A grid can be enabled so that you can easily snap elements, as well as adding anchor points to fully customize shapes.
With a little imagination and patience on your behalf, nearly anything can be achieved. Available tools allow you to create 3D objects from scratch and have them fully enhanced with high-quality textures. A powerful navigation pane is put at your disposal so that you can carefully position the camera to get a clearer view of the area of interest.
Various export possibilities
Similar to a modern web browser, each project is displayed in its own tab. This comes in handy, especially for comparison views. Moreover, layouts and layers also play important roles, as it makes objects handling a little easier.
Sine the application is not the easiest to carry around, requiring a slightly sophisticated machine to properly run, there are several export options put at your disposal so that the projects itself can be moved around.
Aside from the application specific format, you can save as an image file of multiple types, PDF, FBX and a few more. Additionally, it can be sent via email, directly printed out on a sheet of paper, or even sent to a 3D printing service, if available.
To end with
All in all, AutoCAD remains one of the top applications used by professionals to achieve great precision with projects of nearly any type. It encourages usage with incredible offers for student licenses so you get acquainted with its abundance of features early on. A lot can be said about what it can and can't do, but the true surprise lies in discovering it step-by-step.

AutoCAD was introduced in 1982, by Autodesk and released for desktop computers (with internal graphics cards), minicomputers and personal computers with external graphics cards. Later versions were available for mainframe computers, workstations and portable computers. At first, only the AutoCAD drafting application was released. An AutoCAD 2D Plotter package was also available.
Early versions had a fixed file size limit of 25MB (0.25GB). A Raster Image Processor (RIP) for editing, cropping, annotating raster images was introduced in AutoCAD R12 (1991). AutoCAD R14 (1994) introduced the first AutoCAD plotter. AutoCAD V4 (1996) introduced object clipping and AutoCAD V6 (1997) introduced object selection (including edge selection). The latest versions are AutoCAD 2009 and AutoCAD WS.
License of AutoCAD
AutoCAD 2010 runs as a Windows application and as a plugin for AutoCAD WS or AutoCAD LT 2011. License of AutoCAD is proprietary and non-transferable, and the end-user must obtain a license agreement. AutoCAD for the web (AutoCAD WS) runs as a web application and requires a license agreement.
Autodesk provides free AutoCAD technical support for AutoCAD 2010, AutoCAD LT 2011, AutoCAD WS and AutoCAD for the web (as of October 2012).
The Autodesk AutoCAD Engineering Products Group was formed in 1984 to develop the AutoCAD product. Autodesk also had in-house engineers who created the original AutoCAD drafting application in 1982. Autodesk first released AutoCAD on the desktop in December 1982 for both desktop and internal graphics card computers. Early AutoCAD workgroups were designed to use a fixed file size limit of 25MB (0.25GB). Since then, the file size limit has increased to 128MB (1GB) and 256MB (2GB). AutoCAD R12 (1991) introduced the first AutoCAD plotter. AutoCAD V4 (1996) introduced object clipping and AutoCAD V6 (1997) introduced

Industry names and abbreviations
The design and construction industries of the world have adopted the use of a multitude of acronyms and abbreviations to refer to AutoCAD. They are simply explained here as the acronyms are often used interchangeably. The following is a list of industry-specific acronyms for AutoCAD, not including the phrase “computer-aided” or “computer-aided drafting” (i.e. AutoCAD):

Having said that, the previous ATX power supply was already huge enough. At least this one is no bigger than the previous one.
We are in an era where the internal computer building blocks, such as CPUs, are moving from 5V to 3.3V power, to reduce the power consumption and heat output of the components. The i3-7100U CPU, for example, was released in January 2017 and is using a 3.3V power supply, which will be available in the near future. The only reason the CPU maker chose 5V was due to the fact that that is what all previous CPUs in their line of work use, 5V being the default for the motherboard.
Thus we see the days of the ultra-powerful X58 motherboards and CPUs in the Intel core line of work disappearing for a long time. The future CPUs will be using a smaller voltage than the 5V voltages that the previous CPUs were using.
With the progress of the CPU shrinking, we may see the motherboard makers move to smaller voltages in the future, such as the i5-7400 or i7-7500 (our sister website, hardinfo.com.au, has a detailed review of this CPU), to use less power for these smaller CPUs.
This will require the motherboard makers to update their power supply units to have sufficient power for the smaller CPU voltages. This is the reason why the power supply manufacturers will be introducing smaller

The technology still needs to mature, but C3D aspires to become the next Youtube. It’s like the full-body equivalent of a video screen.
Unlike Youtube which is distributed as a platform, the C3D website claims to be owned by the main player in the global C3D market, Eternit, and its subsidiary, Turbitron (now renamed C3D).
The C3D website has seven tabs.
The first tab is explained by the motto “Visit the place where real-time 3D and reality meet”. It features the latest news on C3D. On the second tab, “C3D Technology”, the website briefly explains what the C3D technology is.
It should be noted that the technology is still in its beta version, and that the C3D technology offers not more than a glimpse of what is to come.
The technology relies on a process known as Computer Generated Holography which, if done right, will allow a 3D interactive video to be seen without using special glasses.
This technology is to holographic video what the 3D capability on a desktop or laptop computer is to the ability to watch 3D movies. 3D-capable smartphones already allow you to experience stereoscopic video, but with the C3D technology you can make the video stereoscopic in real time.
Compared to the 3D movies available on the web today, the C3D technology’s 3D videos are more exciting because they allow you to interact with the screen.
Apart from offering the ability to touch and rotate the 3D videos as a first step in making them interactive, the technology will also bring 3D videos to mobile phones

Provisioning tools is new in AutoCAD 2023. This means that you can use your application on new computers without first logging in. To provision your new computer, launch Autodesk User Connection. Use the “New Project” button to locate a new AutoCAD project. On the project page, find the submenu “Provisioning.”
Type the hostname or IP address of the computer. Next, select the type of installation and the level of access you want. Finally, click on “Provision.” A prompt will appear asking for your Autodesk User ID and password. You will only be asked this information once per Autodesk User account.
Autodesk User Connection provides one-click provisioning for AutoCAD. To learn more, see “About Autodesk User Connection.”
Designing with CAD:
When creating 2D drawings in Autodesk AutoCAD® (AutoCAD®), you can use your CAD experience to accomplish more in fewer steps. Here are some examples of some of the CAD-like features you can now take advantage of in AutoCAD:
Insert points and lines using a snap-to-dimensioning feature. You simply drag a snap-to-dimension line where you want to snap to a line or edge.
Move the cursor over a line or edge. In AutoCAD, you can use the Arrow or Arc tool to select lines and edges, and drag the selection. In AutoCAD LDraw, you can use the Directional Selection tool. This tool resembles the Arrow or Arc tool. When you
