GTD-Free aims to guide users to manage very efficient GTD workflow even if they are not familiar with GTD or they are to unorganized to follow it. The user interface is clean and simple on each step of the workflow: user objective should be to get thing done and spent minimum time with the tool itself.
The GTD-Free is in early stage of development, a lot of things are planned to be implemented. Yet the things that are done are working well and the application is stable and usable in day-to-day task management.

1) How to log action?
Two log methods are provided to the user: log(categories, action, project) and log(project, action).
The first method is to log an action to categories and it will appear in the action log, under that category name.
The second method is to log an action to a project and it will appear in the project log.
And, each project can have multiple categories. So, there is no limitation on how many category the user can log an action.
When you log an action, the action is saved in ‘logs’ folder, which you can find in your home directory.
The logs are divided by project and category, so you can click a folder to view the logs in the project.
1) What is a Project?
A project is a tool to group tasks together and it does not have its own category.
You can add a new project at anytime and it is a good way to group and organize tasks.
1) What is a Category?
A category is a folder to organize task into smaller categories. You can add a new category anytime, and it is also a good way to organize tasks.
1) How to create a category?
It is only possible to create a category from the view of project, not from the action log.
To create a category, click the ‘+’ button on the right side of a project.

KEYMACRO gives the user freedom in text entry, the application uses the standard UNIX UNIX keymacs (look under Edit menu).
KEYMACRO uses the simple model of GTD, that means you can always see what is the next action to be done.
KEYMACRO integrates with Nautilus as regular text file and so the files you are working on appear on the computer desktop.
KEYMACRO allows to keep your notes in different types of files, text files, HTML, XML, Excel, OpenOffice.org Calc, Tomboy/Notebook and others.
KEYMACRO supports many custom actions, e.g. convert to text, filter, sync, backup, import. You can view custom actions as popup menus on every entry.
KEYMACRO supports different external calendars (e.g. Exchange, Mozilla Sunbird, Sunbird etc.). KEYMACRO can be used with your Google Calendar for help you manage multiple calendars.
KEYMACRO works with text files, see the next article about the GTD-Free in Nautilus (note: not as a note)
Keystroke model:
KEYMACRO uses the keyboard actions to achieve desired function. When you hit the keys you see next to the text field the text entered, e.g. the function GOTO can be achieved by pressing F1 (the first key under the text field).
After you finish entering the keystrokes you can press ENTER to execute the action or ESC to cancel the action.
When you execute an action, the next time you enter a key, a pop-up menu will appear.
Starting the application:
To get started, type KEYMACRO and hit ENTER, you should see the pop-up menu. After you confirm the action, KEYMACRO is running.
Notifications:
When you are working with a file, you can receive notifications when new changes to the file are detected. You can set actions in your Keymacro like “filter”, “sync” or “import” or many others.
After you confirm the action, the Keymacro is running, you will receive notifications about the file change.

Q:

How do I know when the camera is recording a video?

When you click ‘Record’ on a video camera you get a preview, and when you click the’stop’ button you get a finished video.
So how can I tell if a camera is actually recording when I press the’stop’ button?

A:

If you are just recording one video, pressing’stop’ button will stop video recording.
If you are recording videos at a time, after first video is finished, press’stop’ button and only that video will stop recording.

Q:

Why does iOS 7 fail to pick up images on an “A” USB connection

On an iPad 4 connected to my Macbook via an “A” USB-cable, I get a choice of Camera, or USB-C or Disk.
When I select USB-C, I see no images on the iPad, but when I select Disk, I see several images on the iPad.
What am I doing wrong?

A:

USB-C is not the same as USB-A, USB-A devices are compatible with all other USB-A devices. USB-C devices can have a difference in the specification of the connection so Apple’s OS will not support all compatible devices.
That is why you get an error when you attempt to use a USB-C cable with the iPhone. Your iPhone only supports USB-A, which will not work with the USB-C device.
