the witch-king is now much more difficult to kill, due to his long invulnerability and his high armour. also, his spells now last for 6 seconds instead of 3. the new hero is now even more impactful than before; especially when combined with other units such as trolls.

witch-king’s new ability, ravenous, allows him to summon a ravenous willling that creates a ravenous willling in a nearby location if the witch-king is targeted. this ability has a 50% chance to cause the summons to despawn if the target dies. the amount of ravenous willlings created depends on the order of the black nmenreans, with the first order of black nmenreans spawning one ravenous willling and each subsequent order spawning 3 ravenous willlings at a faster rate until 10 are created. the ravenous willlings that are created do not despawn if the witch-king dies.

the new special spell, dark awakening, summons risen dead to a nearby location. risen dead are created in a dark pool of death that can be placed by the witch-king in a nearby location. if risen dead enter a dark pool of death, they despawn and die.

in addition to improving the balance between the hero and his unit roster, the witch-king is also receiving a fair amount of buffs to make his play style more viable. most notably, he now has spell penetration, allowing him to attack through defensive spells such as warding off. he is also receiving a slight damage nerf to make him more viable when playing against other assassins such as deathrend or stalker.

in addition to hero and unit rebalance, the witch-king’s spellbook is receiving some much needed love. the new spellbook powers now have an appropriate duration that scales to the level of the spell. in addition, the new spellbook powers now have a chance to reveal a previously unseen enemy location. lastly, the spells now scale to level, with the first level of the spellbook power having 50% chance to reveal an enemy location.

Feral King now reaches rank 5 and has given him a slightly better damage bonus. His level 25 talent is now much better. Dagor Braster – His Skill value has been reduced by 40% (from 1.2 / 1.4 / 1.6 / 1.8 to 1 / 1.2 / 1.4 / 1.6), which is huge. Nevertheless, there still is a massive amount of advantages he still has over other heroes. Firstly, his damage is now exactly around 2.5 times as high as his skill value. Dagor’s attack is now mainly based upon skill value and has been improved. (Dagor has been a hero who will destroy everything for a long time, he makes basically all other heroes look shabby.
